Chris Nicholson, Writer & Editor

A note from writer Chris Nicholson ...

Chris Nicholson, Wrier & EditorI wrote as a kid. I penned poetry in high school. I even took a journalism course early in college. But it wasn't until I was almost 20 years old that I decided I wanted to make my living as a writer. Even then, the choice came only after a friend broached the idea while on an evening walk at Savin Rock Park in West Haven, Connecticut.

Now, after working as a writer and editor in the magazine industry for ten years, I'm finally on my own, making a career of freelancing from a short distance north of New York City. I'm still writing for magazines. I'm also writing and editing for the corporate world, editing books, working on a travel-essay book, tottering on the brink of beginning a novel, and always looking for new ways to use my skills as a wordsmith — for money, for pleasure and for artistic goals, depending on the moment's calling.

My services for hire include writing, editing and proofreading. I am available to publishers and corporations. I am proficient at journalism, humor, technical writing and search-engine-friendly copywriting for websites.

Please peruse my website, where you'll find clips of my past articles, biographical information, updates about my current writing projects, and more. If you have any questions (especially if they have to do with how I can help you on a writing-related job), please don't hesitate to contact me.
