Journalism website Poynter.org has run a story about Gary Hershorn, a picture editor for Reuters. Last Sunday his responsibility was editing Super Bowl photos. And for the first time ever, he did it from home.
Modern photo technology has brought us to the point where an editor can be thousands of miles away from an event and still be able to sort through images that were made just seconds before — directly from camera to server to laptop.
