My mom just emailed to tell me that a neighbor of ours during my childhood published a novel last October.
The Meeting Place, by Lewis Franklin, is available on BarnesAndNoble.com.

According to the Associated Press, author Arthur Miller has died.
Miller's most famous works are obviously and arguably Death of a Salesman and The Crucible. In the early 1990s I stage-managed another Miller play, A View From the Bridge. About half an hour before one performance I was told Miller was coming to see the show; in the frenzy of stage production, I never learned if he actually attended.

A few people have inquired why I haven't been active with this blog lately, so I suppose an entry is overdue. Between being busy and being sick, I haven't gotten around to much else.
I've been doing some copy editing and other work for a website for Environment Service Concepts, and have been negotiating some possible writing work with a few magazines.
As for being sick, I won't bore you with that. Suffice it to say that there's a particularly nasty cold virus wandering around the northeast United States, and it stopped by my place for a visit.
