Though I write more than sports, I have worked a lot as a sportswriter. And every now and then I feel like jotting down a thing or two that's sports-related, even if I'm not being paid for it.
Therefore, I've started a sportswriting blog over on Blogspot. Don't know how long I'll keep it up — primarily it's an exercise in writing what I feel like (rather than what an editor wants me to write) now and then.

Been pretty busy lately, which is great. A few magazine assignments, a little corporate work, and refinancing my condo. And this weekend I'll be off to Newport to cover the annual induction ceremonies at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Anyway, I'm taking a break for a few minutes to update the blog. As a note of interest, check out this recent story from the Washington Post reporting that the verb "google" will be added to the new addition of Webster's Dictionary. Pretty coolgle.
